Are you running IE7, okie? I know that qb is, and he sometimes has problems posting comments. Also, if you've switched to the updated version of blogger try switching back.

Okie, what was your impression overall of the debate. I only watched a little of it.

lms, I'm not a good bellwether for the debate tonight, too mentally tired. My opinions would not correlate to their relative party support. LOL. (I'm disgusted with the whole lot of them, some more than others.)

Oooooh, please don't start over on another site. At least not yet.

So what did you do, okie? (To fix your posting problem)

okieYeah, I don't really want to start over again either, I just worry when people have trouble posting. I know how frustrating that is, we all do. I don't know why I haven't had any trouble.

michi, I was able to post (and comment to my own post) but not comment to any other thread. (You doing okay?)lms, it seems like in the very limited time I have had to read threads recently that several folks have alluded to not being able to comment. I have no idea what is up with that.

lms, ditto exactly on what I am running. I'm on a cable internet service that is spotty, but I wouldn't think that would affect the issue. But I'm not IT so have no earthly clue!Night all. Hope o catch you for a bit soon. Are there some new folks here or just folks that had a different name on PL?

Maybe okie, I wait until I have to upgrade windows or lose function with other programs. I usually like the 4th or 5th version of their OS because they're always so quirky. A few new people not from plumline and Brent is sold2u.tao checked in one night and then signed up but hasn't been back yet. He said he's been crazy busy and so has BGinCHI, they keep me posted though. We're hangin' in there.

I had a problem with a comment posting earlier today; no idea why. When clicked Post, nothing happened. But later I could comment fine. The two main issues I've encountered are that with IE7 you have to leave "Stay Signed In" unchecked, and you should use the "old" Blogger interface. These should both be in the FAQ.I'll be upgrading next week, so hopefully I'll be in better shape.

qb: I'll add those to the FAQ. Sounds like you've been crazy busy, too!

FWIW, I'm running Google Chrome with the original Blogger interface on Windows Vista and haven't ever had a problem with posting either comments or posts. I was an early Vista adopter, also, and other than having to get new drivers for a few apps I never experienced all of the angst that Vista seems to have caused. Of course, I'm also a proponent of the theory that a computer and its OS works for me, rather than the other way around, so I've been known to get into the guts of the system and muck around. It usually turns out OK. . .:-)

I posted my quick take on the debate on the evening thread:Romney did well. Cain was charming. Most of them had some good moments. Newt said whatever was on his mind. Huntsman got owned several times and seems lost in the shuffle. Perry was blah — not the train wreck of last time but still seemed lost and grasping for meaningful things to say.I missed the first 15 or so but didn't hear mention of Iran. It was focused on the economy.
