yellojktI thought I’d put up a new admin post in case there are still questions, suggestions, comments etc. regarding the new and improved All Things in Moderation blog. I’d like to thank everyone for their diligence, creativity and patience since Friday when Kevin moved us here. Just to recap, blogger made some changes we couldn’t live with so here we are. We’re still waiting for a few people to sign in and/or find us so it seems somewhat logical to keep another open thread up for the next day or so.
Kevin should be checking in Tuesday or Wednesday to add our logo at the top of the page, and possibly make some other changes, so we’re not quite done yet.
Anyway, glad you followed us over here for those of you who have, and welcome to those of you who are just now signing in.

All Things in Moderation 
I read on another thread that qb isn’t thrilled with the font. I’m not sure I am either, although I’m not very picky. I think Kevin will want to work on this tomorrow and/or Wed. when he gets back. So let’s wait and see what he wants to do and then we’ll discuss his changes.
I wish jnc, welcome btw, and mark would fix their “gravatar”, as they call it here, I’m not fond of those little space aliens.
Right now I’m working with tao and ABC to try to get them in, they both seem to have wordpress issues so I may be asking for advice later, so sharpen up those tech skills for me. I’m just about the last person who should be working on this stuff.
And last but not least, if someone sees john/banned again over at the Plumline please give him a nudge, diplomatically of course. As far as I know none of us has his email.

I am pretty ambivalent about font. I like this one fine, except the way it appears when something is bolded. The tops of the letters appear cut off or something. Is that due to the sizing?

Possibly, but I wouldn’t want it any smaller. I think we’ll just sit on it until Kevin gets back…..I have the feeling he’ll change it no matter what we do with it today…lol
I’m really pressed for time today so will mostly just be monitoring my email and questions here as they arise.

Just a quick update regarding who’s here and who isn’t. Of our 23 users/authors at the old ATiM 16 are now here and set up to author and edit posts. Fairlington Blade has checked in and will join us when he has time, ABC is uncertain about her wordpress status, I haven’t heard from Taroya yet, schrodingerscat’s email bounced back at me, don’t know what’s going on with yellojkt……..who am I missing?
Commenter tao9 is also having wordpress issues and I have no idea how to get in touch with john/banned.

You’d think so bsimon, but there seem to be challenges with commenting without a wordpress account and trouble setting one up. If they can’t comment we don’t know they’re here. Anyway, just trying to keep track of everyone and not lose the stragglers.

If you hover over the ATiM logo in upper left corner of black bar at the top of page, you can click on dashboard and have access to lots of info. Scroll down to users and you’ll see who is here. Not sure you’ve seen this feature yet.

Oh no………………………….as a managing partner could I at least email you the occasional suggestion? Hopefully they’ll be funny from time to time. 😉 And no big deal on the daily headlines. It was just an easy way to keep up sometimes when I was especially busy. I always wondered if they just popped up automatically or if someone picked the sources. I’d love to have the LA Times in there and I’m sure others have their favorites.

Can you, or we, schedule the quotes in advance or is it a daily edit? Either way, I think it would be fun.

As part of the sidebar it requires a daily edit. But I was going to try to take some time to put together a list quotes so as to avoid scrambling around every morning searching for something interesting. I’ll share it with you if you want. Also wanted to try to make them meaningful for given days…for example an MLK quote for MLK day.

A couple of things, I clicked on the photo above and it went full screen. I don’t know if we had that at blogger or not but it’s kind of neat. And while I got that first photo in above without any problem I tried to do a copy of a gallup poll graph and couldn’t seem to get it to show up. Probably just me being lame.

Noting this evening’s HHR at PL, I wonder if Sue can access ATiM now that we’re on wordpress instead of blogspot. Did she abandon ATiM for tech reasons or was it something else? Has anybody contacted her about the move?
