Seems good to me

Although I like the color on the other site, I assume that is easily changeable.  Otherwise it seems just as easy to use as blogger.  Have not tried it in IE yet, though.

  2. Hi Kevin

I’m here and so far it looks good. Will explore and try creating a post.

    • I tried a post and, as usual, it takes me awhile to figure this stuff out. It published and then I couldn’t publish again. I’m sure it’s just me getting used to everything. Thanks for inviting such an “elderly” person along for the ride.. 🙂

  3. Apparently, if we pay $30 a year we can custom the look more. I’ll have to think about that, if we decide this is our platform for moving forward in the future. I would like to be able to change color and fonts and other things. I’ve actually edited the template code in WordPress sites before (long time ago), on a independently deployed WP site, but I think it’s better to use the WP platform because then you get a lot of connections you otherwise wouldn’t get (at the same time, you can’t use it for SEO by providing hundreds upon hundreds of links to the same external site, because WP shuts you down).

  4. I’ll pay the $30 as a long suffering liberal, is that each or total?

  5. FYI…I turned off e-mail notifications for comments. I don’t think there is a need to get an e-mail every time someone comments on a post. I left it on, however, for a comment that gets put into moderation. I don’t know why or how that might happen, but I suppose we should know about it if it happens.

  6. That’s $30 for editing, which I assume is included if we pay the $99 for Pro, which I’m not sure may not be a good idea. I can’t figure out how it calculates storage usage. Let us reflect upon it as I get the Blogger site imported. Seems stuck on 6010 comments, (about in the middle), which worries me, but I may just need to restart.

  7. For Bits & Pieces, I like that it warns you if someone currently has a given post open in their editor. That’s nice.

  8. I’m here again and the bookmarked page opens funny to me. I see the poll and recent posts but no homepage or dashboard option. Am I doing something wrong? I seem to be missing a sign in page also and will have to input my email and name before posting a comment…..is that right?

  9. You should not. You registered with WordPress, right? Try:

And see if it prompts you to login. Let me know if you have any problem.

  13. OK, so now I’m seeing comments (I guess on the posts that have originated on this site rather than the Blogger one). . . but, like lms, I’m not seeing a homepage, dashboard, create a new post, or anything like that.

Once I’m on my “home” computer I’ll add my picture of Daisy to my profile, but for the nonce you’ll have to put up with my optical illusion avatar. . .

    • I’ve changed you to admin. Apparently, you have to be an admin to get the dashboard and other goodies. So, we’ll all be admins again. 😉

      Also, go to directly to

      https://conservaliberals.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

If you don’t see the dashboard now, and login to WP as necessary. All old posts should have their comments now. Posts will be correctly attributed once everybody who has posted, that is still a user, signs up. Then I’ll assign their user to their posts.

  16. Hmmm…I posted the two above posts within 2 minutes of each other, but the second says it was posted an hour before the first. Something is screwy.
