Bits & Pieces (Monday Night Open Mic)

BTW: I’m out for the rest of the week. I may comment here or there, but posting is going to be out of the question, probably until next Monday. So, any Bits & Pieces are going to have to come from Michigoose, lmscina, Okie, Scott, QB, Mark, or somebody. Not trying to suggest that some of you 99% are mooching off as top 1%, but . . . you know what’s going on.

“That armors to thick for our blasters!” Empire Strikes Back fail:

Name a Man’s name that begins with “K”:

Have you ever seen Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-Long Blog with Neil Patrick Harris, and Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer? It’s awesome. There are several parts, here’s one:

It features Geek Goddess Felicia Day. See more Felicia Day on The Guild, and in her video, Do You Want to Date My Avatar:

  2. Well, I have my answer, Obama thinks Panetta is being a drama Queen. Good thing he thinks keeping him on as SecDef is wise considering he also thinks he's either a liar or has a completely irresponsible ljudgement of what constitutes "devastating [defense] cuts" or both.

  3. These two tweets from Jim Pethokoukis crack me up.  First, the set-up,"That's right. Debt not a problem. We just need to tax at EU levels. Glad that's settled."And now, the punch line,"Wait, what's this about the EU have a debt problem despite sky-high taxes. My broker never told me about this!!!"

  4. I think Allahpundit at HotAir gives as good an explanation as possible to Frank Rich's breathtakingly idiotic column..Exactly how many Republicans occupied statewide office in Texas in 1963 anyway?

  11. 'Goose, they were thought provoking and somewhat optimistic, so the only reason not to have a TeeVee based on their conversation is that it WAS VERY LATE AT NIGHT and a contributor to sleep deficit disorder.

  14. Mike — didn't know you are in PA. My family is originally from Pittsburgh. (3 cousins went to PSU). So Steelers, Pens, and Pirates for me.

  15. NoVA:I was teaching at Penn State until last year. Now I'm at USF in Tampa. I'm a Chicago boy, so Bears, 'Hawks, Cubs, and Bulls for me, but I'll root for the hometown team otherwise. Pittsburgh over Philly for me. I really like PNC Park — besides Wrigley, my favorite MLB ball park among the ones I've visited.
