The Genomic Revolution

This is a great TED talk. Highly recommended.

One of many things that make me think medicine is going to look very different 15 years from now–at least, much more different 15 years from now that today looks from 15 years ago.

But he’s right, genomics has wide ranging impacts: relationships, having children, politics.

I’m done. Listen to the guy who knows what he’s talking about:

  1. I was kinda bummed that he encourages us all to educate ourselves about this but provides no resources as starting places.

  2. I will listen to this while I am doing billing tonight. Looks like a good 'un.The girls mimed their routine and sang for us sotto voce outside the restaurant in a vestibule, just for fun, after dinner. Yes, we were tempted to play out the string, but no, we did not. We were dead tired and facing a lot more driving. They had a limited time/budget to find someone in LV who could give them a shot. We exchanged names and phone numbers and we all talked about expecting to hear great things. End of story.
