  1. "Because if you are not going to get it done, what’s wrong with going down swinging?"That was basically the Tea Party theory, and many of those candidates did better than expected. Although I had really hoped that Ruth McClung would hand Raul Grijalva his ass (I've got no love for any politician, of any party, who supports a boycott of his own state). But I digress, pointing be that, yes, your supporters always want you to go down swinging, so, if you're the kind of person who has to run for elected office, that's what you do.

  2. Now you've gone and done it NoVA, linked to my second favorite guy at FDL, the BlueTexan. He's right of course, Clyburn that is, from the standpoint of underwhelming the base. The Administration has a habit of doing that and I think they could have handled conflict much better. It seems sort of a thin-skinned response to criticism.
