I loves me some Elizabeth Warren, I do!
Yankees clinch 16th playoff birth in 17 years with a 4-2 win over the Rays this afternoon. A win tonight and a Red Sox loss will clinch the division. It will be a travesty if the World Series this year is anything other than Phillies v Yankees. – SC

How fun! Uh-oh on the China link. kevin, try your voice on this: Tom Waits. Sorry it's not the full version. And WAY GOOD on Elizabeth Warren. If nothing else, she's firing up some people. Who knows where this will lead (or not)?I posted on another thread that we might need to let shrink know he is the first to be "pinked" on ATiM. I "removed content" (or was it delete?) from one of his old comments as an experiment, and the message that came back was "This comment has been removed by a blog administrator."

I just had the chance to look at the video that NoVA put up re social media and police accountability, it's in the link dump. It's a big story out here and they just charged the cops, one with second degree murder and the other with manslaughter. Apparently the snippet we saw at the link is only part of it. No wonder they don't want you taping them.

Okie, I'm still working my way through mine and deleted an entire thread called beach music as there wasn't much in there but sand.

Scott, as long as the Rangers don't get anywhere near the WS I'll be happy.

lms, one of my discoveries was that if you delete a blog, the comments are still visible in the comments tab. There are a couple of threads around 9/14 and 9/15 that I would prefer to delete in entirety, plus all the comments. Back then, there were not a lot (if any) substantive comments on them that I think we need to keep for posterity.

Okie, that's fine with me and is why I deleted beach music. I trust your judgment and figure others will too. Let's see if anyone else shows up. Maybe let us know which ones you're referring to first?

lms:Yankees have a real opportunity to help out your Angels. They are currently only 3.5 games behind the Sox for the wild card, and 1.5 behind the Rays. Yankees play the Sox 3 more times, and the Rays 4 more times after tonight. If the Angels take care of their schedule and the Yankees don't pull back after clinching, the Angels just might sneak into that Wiled Card spot.

KW, you are the bomb. Cool collection. E. Warren is downright creepy/scary. I saw that madwoman on the tube this morning declaring more war on business in America. She is going to fulfill every stereotype that comes with her background. Woe to the U.S. if her kind gains more power in 2012.

beach music was one I was thinking of as well as comments to a blog titled "Invitees" that we previously deleted. If all concur, I volunteer to scrub the comments — both posts have already been deleted. I'll look again in a bit to see if there are others.

Hey, lmsinca – what's wrong with the Rangers? Love me some Rangers…..can't stand the Yankees. The Phillies look nearly unstoppable – I think it's theirs to lose this year.

Go for it Okie.Sorry SCat, but we have something in common……….the Yanks. Actually, I pretty much despise every team but the Halos.scott, there are always so darned many scenarios this time of year that it always cracks me up. If this happens to this team, and this one wins that game, then as long as the other team doesn't have a game that day then the outcome will be perfect for us. I love baseball.

qb, I'll make you a deal, we'll let you spout off about Liz Warren if you'll just ignore us when we watch the next Republican debate and make fun of them, okay? I know we won't be able to resist.

lms:You may hate the Yanks, but you better be cheering for them tonight. Sox just lost again (is this why Tao won't show his face here?) and Yanks are tied 2-2 vs the Rays. Yanks win and your Halos pick up a game on each of them.

The thing that shocked me the most about the Full Tilt Poker story is how much money Ferguson and Lederer got – $25 million and $42 million respectively. That's some serious jack. Sad, though – I liked them both as players – I hope the allegations of impropriety aren't true.

Hey okie! Hi Ims, all…I'm still here, but swamped this week between day job and kiln firing which started yesterday. We'll be done sometime Sunday afternoon (crossing fingers…it's always just an estimate this far out). I just got home from firing shift, and doing a little catch up reading before sleep. okie, sad to say I am going to miss the debate tomorrow night. :o( Won't get home till after 1:00AM, have to cover for someone who bailed on us. I hope it's a fun one, though!

Thanks, sue; somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 of the boxes are going straight downstairs and into storage since I'm planning on buying a house next spring-ish.
